The Players’ Panel is bringing the voice of people who actually bet into the debate on the future of gambling.

Having a bet is a precious pastime enjoyed safely and responsibly by millions of people just like us.

70% of us like to have a bet from time to time, on everything from football to bingo to Strictly Come Dancing. But our voices are rarely heard in the wider debate on the future of gambling laws in the UK.

We need to protect children and the most vulnerable from problem gambling, and make sure customers are in control. But we also must be able to continue betting freely – and without the fun taken away.

As adults, we should be able to decide whether and how much we can afford to bet.

Any decisions affect us all, and we want to be part of that. It’s time for our voices to be heard.
